The Need
"When education is based on the principles of Dharma, it becomes a force for good that leads to prosperity and well-being."
— Swami Sivananda
American education has plummeted in the last thirty years. Our public system is taking our children by the hand and leading them where we do not want them to go. Student math and science scores rank 26th and 12th in the world. The public system is overburdened and not able to accommodate the needs of those families who want more for their children.
There is no opportunity in the public system to teach faith in the classroom for students to receive a thorough grounding in their religious and cultural heritage. Our Hindu studies program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the teachings of Hindu philosophy, ethics, and spirituality, while also exploring the rich history and traditions that define our culture.
It is about shaping the leaders of tomorrow—individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also deeply connected to their cultural identity. Our goal is to create a school where students can excel in all areas of their education while remaining grounded in the values and traditions of Hinduism.
At the heart of the school’s spiritual education will be the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family. This goal will aim to develop students who see the interconnectedness of all life and cultivate universal love and brotherhood, not just within their immediate community but globally.
